Bighorn sheep are only one of the examples of wildlife that is both impressive and in abundance throughout the park which spans for roughly 416 miles. The Continental Divide and Colorado River Headwaters are included in this display of wonder. If you are into fishing, streams in the Smokies span some 700 miles. And while we’re on the subject of streams and the Colorado River; let’s not forget why we came to the Smokies in the first place. White water rafting and tubing!

Smokey Mountain Bowling Fun

Is bowling really a big deal in the Smokey Mountains? Ask anyone belonging to the Smokey Mountain USBC Association, Inc.

Bowling Makes The News

A newspaper in the area recently ran an article on how bowling can mean fun for the whole family… even on a budget. A couple of bowling alleys are in nearly every town so there isn’t a problem finding your local alley. You don’t even have to own bowling balls or the special shoes because (as almost everyone knows) you can use the balls belonging to the alley and rent a pair of shoes. The selection of balls is usually for both youngsters and adults alike.

Time To Party Down

You may even want to consider having your next get together at a bowling alley. Frequently there are arcades, bars and food available so there’s a little something for everyone. Children’s parties are even great at a bowling alley. Bumpers can be set up in the gutters so that every kid hits the pins. No gutter balls in Bumper Bowling!
Computerized scorekeeping means it’s easy, it’s good exercise, it teaches sportsmanship, it’s fun and it is a great way for family and friends to enjoy themselves and each other.
