London Explorer 5-Day

While there are shorter explorer tours, two and three day, chances are, if you really want to take in as much as London as you can, it’s a good idea to plan at least a five day stay. After all, who wants to go to London and then return home to the question, “Did you get to see Stonehedge?” And you shake your head, “No…I was only there for three days.” Chances are you’ll never get that chance again.

Various Tours

Most of the tour companies (FlightCentre, Escapetravel, Contiki, Pleasetakemeto) have a basic package that will be included in your price. This includes; four night accommodations in a pleasant hotel, a continental breakfast daily, a bus and tube pass, usually for three days, when you’ll be doing all of your sightseeing, a open-top bus tour, perhaps some tickets to a show on the West End and at least tickets to one high-end tour like Stonehedge, the Roman Baths or Windsor Castle. And all tours have a representative based in London to help you with any problems you might encounter.

All of London

The top London Explorer 5-Day Tours will provide you with a detailed London info booklet which will have everything you need to know, including tips and how to find hard, out-of-the-way spots. And the previously mentioned open-top bus tour is a hop-on, hop-off tour, which means if something grabs your interest you can jump off and explore, no worries, there’ll be another one by soon enough. The great attraction of a world-class city like London is the endless amount of sights to see during the day whether it’s Buckingham Palace, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben, or a scenic ferry down the Thames. And then at night the city comes to life in the West End, Soho and Piccadilly Circus.
Yes, the organized tours are a great way to go, it’s the perfect mixture of having a great guide and then time to relax and explore London at your own pace and taste.
